Awkwafina

Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who began her career with innovative raps which addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew to Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrants from Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was via the trumpet. Then, she started traditional and hip-hop training. When she was in high her schooling, she specialized in women's studies and journalism. She also studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. The focus changed to music once she completed her degree. Following her viral success through the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks, such as body-positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in the year 2015, and was a different initiative. After having a great career as a musician and songwriter, she decided to take on the role of an actor. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In 2018 she was able to land breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP came out in June.
