Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's cuisine is a means to enter her mind. The food she creates is the result of her fascination with the cultural aspects of Los Angeles, which was inspired by a visit from Long Island to Los Angeles from Long Island's suburbs. Cavatelli and carnetas, she believes, can coexist on the identical menu. Her taste is constantly evolving. What remains is her singular vision of the future while longingly recalling the previous. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in 2013 and was immediately well-received. Lofaso's old-school Italian rendition is widely regarded as one among Los Angeles' most captivating dining establishments. Lofaso consistently serves excellent dishes at Scopa which is a favorite of the neighborhood. Its patrons describe it as authentic and satisfying. Lofaso worked as an apprentice to culinary masters, absorbing their techniques and taking risks. She never hesitated in doing so, merely following her own intuition. She worked with a variety of celebrities and rose rapidly through the ranks of Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso worked together with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar Black Market Liquor Bar, a new bar in Studio City.
