For the June 2003 issue of Vanity Fair, she was recognized as one of the years' hot teen celebrity stars. In 2004, Vega filmed two movies: Sleepover, and State's Evidence. In the Lifetime TV series Odd Girl Out as a cyberbully, she made an appearance in the year 2005. Walkout, a 2006 made-for television movie followed her in the role. She also finished shooting Remember the Daze in April 2007 when it came out for limited release in cinemas. She finished filming Repo! The Genetic Opera was released in 2008. Aram Rappaport wrote and directed Helix at Chicago. Filming started in the month of March in 2008. The role was initially cast for the 2009 Robert Rodriguez film Shorts, however, because of her being situated in Australia during the production of Broken Hill, she had to be replaced. Kat Dennings was cast in her place. Penny, a character she appeared in on Broadway's Hairspray. She was Ruby Gallagher in the ABC Family sitcom Ruby & the Rockits which included Patrick Cassidy and David Cassidy. Vega appeared as Wick in the 2012 movie The Devil's Carnival, a film by director Darren Lynn Bousman and screenwriter Terrance Zdunich. Previously, they was a co-writer together with Vega on Repo! The Genetic Opera. [12] Throughout 2012, Vega played in the independent film 2br/1ba directed by Rob Margolies and co-stars with Spencer Grammer and Kathryn Morris. Vega played a part as a co-star in her role in the Lifetime Channel movie The Pregnancy Project and her animated film The Clockwork Girl was completed. The Mine was filmed by Vega in 2010. It was screened for only a short screening. Vega was also voiced Christina on the animated series Unsupervised. The actress was an actor on Royal Pains. Vega was the character in Aerosmith's "Legendary Child" as well as a music video. [13]
